We use AI tools to accelerate workflows and deliver faster results. From discovery to full-scale program delivery, we take our clients from vision to decision and from doing to done.

The Role:

As a Director you serve as a central pillar of our client delivery model, operating at the intersection of strategic advisory, hands-on execution, and business development. This is a high-impact role responsible for bridging client business objectives with internal delivery teams, ensuring that every engagement reflects our “high-impact, low-overhead” philosophy and delivers meaningful outcomes.

In this role, you own and cultivate client relationships, shape project strategy, and ensure seamless execution across engagements. You are accountable for meeting project delivery, project management, and account management expectations, while also proactively identifying and capturing opportunities to expand our footprint within existing accounts and across the broader firm to support Sol’s growth.

Additionally, you will be responsible for providing leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of consulting professionals, fostering their functional, technical, and professional development. You are a key intermediary between delivery teams and senior leadership, ensuring alignment, clear communication, and operational excellence. The Director role  builds upon and extends the responsibilities of an Associate Director, combining delivery excellence with team leadership and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders (CIOs, COOs, CTOs). Act as a trusted advisor who challenges assumptions and helps clients think bigger.
  • Lead, mentor, and support high-caliber, cross-functional teams (consultants and industry specialists), setting annual goals, managing performance, driving individual development plans, and completing formal review processes.
  • Lead the translation of complex business challenges into clear, actionable project roadmaps. Define program structures, set KPIs, and establish a clear view of ROI from day one.
  • Maintain direct responsibility for client accounts, ensuring projects move from "vision to completion" with speed and precision. Participate in discovery phase to define scope, structure, and staffing models for new projects.
  • Understand the client’s business at a deep level to anticipate their needs, positioning Sol as an essential partner for their future initiatives. Identify and qualify new opportunities within your existing accounts. Proactively pitch, scope, and close additional projects that drive further value for the client and revenue for Sol.
  • Integrate AI tools into project workflows to maximize efficiency and accelerate time-to-market.

Qualifications:

  • 7 - 10 + years of experience with a focus on technology transformation and implementation, operations, digital product engagements and AI acceleration.
  • 4+ years in Management Consulting at a top-tier or specialized boutique firm.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience, with a track record of leading high-performing, cross-functional teams. Experience driving professional development through annual goal-setting, performance management, and formal review processes
  • Proven track record in a "doer" capacity—you have moved beyond writing decks and have deep experience in implementation and execution.
  • A deep understanding of the current AI landscape and experience leveraging AI tools to optimize operational workflows, accelerate data analysis, and enhance project delivery.
  • Comfortable in agile, fast-paced environments where you are embedded on client teams.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex technical or operational data into clear strategic narratives for executive leadership.
  • Preferred but not required: Experience in one or more of Sol’s practices areas/sectors: Advertising Technology (AdTech), Workforce & Operations Systems, Media & Broadcasting or State/Local Government & Education.
