About Sol:
Sol is a next-gen consulting firm that helps our clients’ level up their tech, operations, and product/service offerings. We aren’t just advisors we’re doers. We use AI tools to accelerate workflows and deliver faster results. From discovery to full-scale program delivery, we take our clients from vision to decision and from doing to done.
The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to work on client-facing data and AI platform delivery. The role owns requirements, business rules, and definitions across the delivery lifecycle: source discovery, data contracts, master and reference data decisions, metric definitions, and acceptance criteria for reporting, predictive, and agentic capabilities.
Core Responsibilities
- Own metric and measure definitions with unambiguous business logic, reconciled to system of record, and ensure they hold consistently across every system that consumes them
- Write requirements and acceptance criteria for predictive and agentic capabilities: evaluation criteria, ground truth sets, acceptable error rates, known failure modes, escalation thresholds, and the boundary of what an agent may act on
- Negotiate and author data contracts between source system owners and the platform, covering structure, semantics, quality thresholds, and change notification
- Lead discovery across complex source landscapes: profile sources, surface business rules embedded in legacy processes, and document intake realities that no system diagram shows
- Define and document the business rules that inform master and reference data decisions: golden record criteria, source precedence, and reference hierarchies
- Assess AI-readiness of source data, not only report-readiness: metadata depth, documentation debt, and structure trapped in free text
- Independently validate delivered work: reconcile numbers, identify grain and join errors in generated logic, and hold sign-off credibly
- Partner on backlog prioritization and trade-offs, translating business objectives into sized, well-formed backlog items with clear acceptance criteria
- Drive acceptance through demos, testing coordination, and validation of delivered capability against real data
- Contribute to AI governance practice, including PII classification and business rules for what data and actions are in scope for agentic capabilities
- Contribute to Sol's delivery practice through reusable methods, templates, and assets
What we’re looking for:
- 6+ years as a Business Analyst, with deep experience with data platform, analytics, or AI programs in environments with multiple conflicting source systems
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Client-facing consulting or delivery experience
- Working knowledge of core data concepts: dimensional and relational modeling, grain, conformed dimensions, lineage, and lakehouse fundamentals, sufficient to ask informed questions of a model and write requirements that align with the architecture
- Data quality as a practiced discipline: profiling methodology, quality dimensions, rule authoring, threshold setting, and exception triage
- Exposure to master data and governance practice: stewardship models, business glossaries, catalogs, classification, and policy
- Fluency in Agile delivery: backlogs, user stories, sprint ceremonies, and prioritization with business stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder communication skills, able to work effectively with both technical and executive audiences
- Hands-on exposure to modern data and AI tooling: lakehouse platforms, transformation frameworks, ML lifecycle tooling, catalog and quality platforms, orchestration
- Experience defining evaluation approaches for LLM or agentic systems
- Domain depth in revenue operations, settlement, or financial reconciliation.
- Experience onboarding new source systems into an existing platform under an established governance model
- Demonstrated ability to define acceptance criteria for probabilistic systems, not only deterministic ones
- Ability to independently verify a number and explain why a plausible result is wrong
Why join Sol:
- Ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive accountability across global teams.
- High-Impact Work: Directly shape platforms and processes powering a major client's business.
- Innovation: Work at the leading edge of enterprise technology and AI-driven capabilities in a fast-moving environment.
- Culture: A team of self-reliant professionals who value execution over optics.
Compensation:
Base Salary $145,000 – 160,000 per year. In this role, you will participate in an annual discretionary bonus plan, aligned to company performance and individual performance. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
